Can you believe it's the start of the 2nd semester?

I've told the students that they can do even better than they did first semester!  God's Word says, "Commit your plans to the Lord and they will succeed!" 
Proverbs 16:3

This week, tutoring will begin for the Yellow group.

Also, there is an interest meeting on Wednesday after school for those middle schoolers that would like to play soccer.

Exam week is approaching!  As you know, 6th grade's exams will count as a regular test grade.
There will NOT be a Math exam and the Reading exam will consist of the 20 review vocabulary words.  The History Exam will be given next Wednesday.  We've completed all the material on the exam and will spend quite a bit of time in class reviewing.  Your child can be reviewing a little each night as well as maps to help prepare.

Praise God!  His goodness is beyond discovery!  (Psalm 145:3)

I hope you'll be looking out for all the goodness God has for you this week.

Tuesday is Math tutoring for the yellow group.  There is a Math Test Thursday and we will be reviewing thoughroughly in both classes.

Your child should be reading the book he or she chose for the report due at the end of the month.  SOME time in class is allotted (about 15-20 minutes), but reading will need to be done at home too.  I'll try to be mindful with other subjects to make more time for reading.

As we start the new year, let's encourage our students to do their very best, praising God for what He'll do as they trust Him!

This week, there will be no vocabulary for Reading.  On Friday, there will be a comprehension quiz on the stories that we'll read in class together.
